Solar Panels are brightening up Eckington Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre

Solar photovoltaic panels have been installed at Eckington Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre in North East Derbyshire District Council (NEDDC) as part of the carbon reduction projects which are being funded by a £1,014,009 Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) government grant via Salix Finance.
The solar panels will provide electricity to reduce reliance on the grid to power the Air Source Heat Pump and electrical equipment within the facility.

Working in partnership with Torbay Council and Parkwood Leisure at Torbay Leisure Centre, 2 air source heat pumps were put into place last week ready to be connected into the heating and energy systems.

Installing heat pumps will assist with lowering energy costs, reduce the use of gas by 100% and lower the carbon emissions at the facility by 318 tonnes. Funding for this project was received from the Public Sector Decarbonisation Grant.

Joint Energy Consultancy Partnership of the Year Award from the EMA

We are so pleased to announce that we are joint winners with Ashford Borough Council and Freedom Leisure for the Energy Managers Association Energy Management Consultancy Partnership 2021 award.

Our award was based on the carbon reduction projects at The Stour Centre in Ashford, Kent. The installation included 3 x Air Source Heat Pumps, 598 solar photovoltaic panels, nearly 400 low energy light fittings, air handling motor upgrades and water pump upgrades. This work was carried out from the government Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) grant, funded through Salix Finance.

Fantastic news – well done everyone who worked on the project.
