Energy savings opportunities scheme for leisure facilities

Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme (ESOS) Assessments – PHASE 3

Phase 3 of the ESOS has now come in to play. The deadline is 5th December 2025.

Leisure operators managing facilities with large swimming pools and sports spaces which incur high levels of energy usage and have over 250 employees are legally required to comply with the Energy Savings Opportunities Scheme (ESOS).  Subsequently, they will need to define how the company will approach the implementation of the energy saving opportunities identified during your assessment.

If your organisation needs help to complete, Leisure Energy can assist with this energy evaluation by providing your company with a site audit for the collection and analysis of data. This data can then be utilised to ensure that your company complies with the obligations of ESOS.

We have qualified Lead Assessors who will be able to ensure that your evidence allows your company to fulfil your obligations associated with the scheme and the law.

Leading on from your assessment, we can identify and implement energy saving measures which will be practicable and cost effective. We can project manage the installation of such measures and  even arrange funding for you.

Additionally, having completed the ESOS assessment, this will allow your company to report on the new Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting Policy (SECR) which came into effect on 1st April 2019.
