Energy Savings at Cefn Hengoed Leisure Centre in Swansea

Leisure Energy have installed new lighting within the Sports Hall at the Cefn Hengoed Leisure Centre on behalf of Freedom Leisure and Swansea City Council.

The existing sodium and metal halide lighting within the sports hall was relatively inefficient and prone to higher maintenance requirements. We have replaced with energy efficient led lamps and luminaires providing excellent, uniform levels of illumination to match all customer activities.

The installation will provide an estimated annual energy saving within the sports hall of 27,000 kWh of electricity, equivalent to 7,000 kg of CO2, giving a payback period of 5 years.
