On behalf of Freedom Leisure and in partnership with Hastings Borough Council, Leisure Energy have this month completed the installation of solar thermal panels, pool covers and plant room insulation at Summerfields Leisure Centre. Results of these energy measures are already being realised; saving money and lowering the centre’s carbon footprint.

Excellent energy savings are being realised at Bakewell Leisure Centre, where Freedom Leisure, the leisure operator, have instructed Leisure Energy Ltd to upgrade equipment with high energy usage. The projects, run in partnership with Derbyshire Dales District Council included replacement LED lights, a new high efficiency Air Handling Unit and upgraded water usage controls. Only 6 months after the installation, reduced annual consumption is being predicted as 60,000 kWh in electricity, which is equivalent to the usage of 274 LCD TVs per year.

Leisure Energy are pleased to announce that our Technical Director, Huw John, has recently passed the nationally recognised health and safety qualification IOSH Managing Safely course. The course involved successfully completing both a theory test and an industry relevant risk assessment project. Congratulations from the team.
