Tenbury Swimming Pool reduces gas consumption by 51%
Tenbury Swimming Pool reduces its annual energy consumption by almost half after working together with Leisure Energy to make dramatic cuts.
Tenbury Swimming Pool is operated by Freedom Leisure, a fast growing not-for-profit leisure trust, on behalf of Tenbury Town Council. Freedom Leisure has more than doubled in size over the last 5 years to operate 76 leisure facilities across the UK.
The Tenbury site will reduce gas usage by 51% and a decline of electricity by 47% will also be seen after working with Leisure Energy. The objective to make the site more energy efficient has resulted in £51,161 being saved each year through analysing and decreasing energy use in the operation of the centre.

Leisure Energy shortlisted in two Constructing Excellence Awards 2016 categories
Leisure Energy is pleased to be shortlisted in two categories in Constructing Excellence’s 2016 Awards: Innovation and Whole Life value.

By factoring in running costs as well as upfront investment, the best value can be achieved. Our aim is to always provide the best solution over the life of the product, not to make a quick sale and leave customers with high running costs. We partner with our customers long term to achieve the predictions identified in our energy assessments.
Our holistic approach to energy management has earned us recognition in the Innovation category. Reviewing a whole site produces exponential results compared to analysing areas individually.
This is an exciting time for Leisure Energy as we grow and the number of leisure centres we help increases. We are very pleased our work to minimise the environmental impact of leisure centres has been recognised by Constructing Excellence.
